So many names to be read.
Too many names, representing too much blood and too many tears shed
Names of soldiers, sailors, marines and guards.
Start building your tribute wall now,
You might be finished in a decade or two.
What are we fightin’ for?
Don’t ask the country we stopped giving a damn
About Iraq and Afghanistan.
Who cares when we’ve got the front page reserved for Lindsay Lohan?
Who cares about the men and women in uniform who’re serving, have died or been left behind?
So many names from so many places.
Names on a monument, quilt, or a wall, all screaming out not to be forgotten.
These names are all that is left and we can’t forget, we musn’t forget.

Comarades in Arms
They're the first ones on their feet
to pay tribute to those who serve.
They were the first to serve
when their country called.
Known now only as dad, mom, grandpa or grandma.
To those who now serve they are forever.
